King Cooley is an Atlanta-based songwriter, recording artist, and creative whose music has been featured in more than 50 film and television placements. Formerly known as “Cooley Savant”, Cooley’s sound is a blend of captivating melodies, southern warmth and classic rap bars. With a style that’s equal parts nostalgic and forward-thinking, King Cooley is a rising voice in the indie music scene, performing on stages across the Southeast, New York City, and Los Angeles. She has earned a reputation for high-energy performances that leave a lasting impression.
King Cooley’s love of storytelling began as a young artist on the Southside of Atlanta, drawing comics for friends and collecting album artwork from her favorite CDs. Cooley's interest in the arts led her to attend the Savannah College of Art & Design where she received her B.F.A. in Graphic Design. Shortly after graduating, Cooley began working in corporate America while secretly releasing music as "Cooley Savant". Her breakthrough track, "Climate Change," brought critical attention to her ability to address complex issues with authenticity, gaining over 300,000 streams and over 2,000 Spotify playlist adds including Spotify's Fresh Finds, Discover Weekly, Next Wave Neo-Soul, and Madame Gandi's "The Future is Female" playlist. In the coming years, Cooley transitioned into sync songwriting, with tracks like “Glow Up” and “Friend Zone” have been featured on Netflix’s Forever tv series, The Asset, and CBS’s Beyond the Gates, respectively.
From performing on stages to leading Art Direction for global ad campaigns, King Cooley has earned a strong reputation as both a visual and sonic storyteller. With a deep passion for pushing creative boundaries, King Cooley continues to grow her fan base and explore new avenues for her creative expression.
